errors in chkdsk

I'm running windows xp. I ran error check thru "tools" in the "C" drive.
Everything seemed ok-no error messages. I immediately ran error check again
thru run, cmd, chkdsk. I got a message that said "errors found. chkdsk canot
continue in read-only mode". What should I do now?

Most likely, you ran it with different parameters and found errors it
needed to correct. Run it from run, typing "chkdsk c: /f/r" (no
quotation marks)

This will also check the integrity of the disk itself and take the
program out of read only mode, so it can exclude bad sectors.
