I am receiving this Event on Windows 2000 computer on start-up, about 8 -10
times:

ESENT
Event ID: 404
"services (216) Synchronous read page checksum error -1018 ((1:52 1:52)
(0-40668) (0-41290)) occurred. Please restore the databases from a previous
backup."

I am not running exchange which is what i seem to find this related to.

I get the below error 14 times on each start. Also get the below WARNING:

1202

Security policies are propagated with warning 0x4b8. an extended error has
occurred. Try logging on with a non-administrative account etc..

Hey DaveP, This is DaveP.

Those event id's are secret MS code. What they mean is your security
database is corrupt. Go to WINNT\security\database and delete secedit.sdb.
then go to Administrative tools | local security policy and re import
security policies.
