I am running win2k server SP4 and I got Citrix Metaframe
XP1.0 SP2 running on it as well.

The server rebooted itself out of nowhere. It has been put
in production very recently. When I checked Event View. I
spotted the errors below:

Please what is the cause of this error? and how can i fix
it?

Source: cpqasm
Event ID: 4208

The Compaq system management Driver has determined that
memory module #5 has exceeded its threshold of correctable
errors. Subsequent correctable errors will continue to be
corrected, but memory error reporting will cease until the
system is Rebooted.

Event ID: 4209

The Compaq system management Driver has detected that the
system encountered a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) prior to
this boot. The NMI source was: Uncorrectable memory
error , socket

I believe it means what it says - your server has a faulty or failing memory
module. I would check with Compaq support to confirm this and pursue any
warranty repairs necessary.

You either [hopefully] have an issue with a RAM module or you have a problem
with your NMI. You can verify it with Insight Manager.

Will, try removing the RAM form the corresponding socket and see if that
corrects the problem.

I had a same issue on a database server. The machine would reboot. The
problem was I didn't catch it soon enough, and as a result, had to
re-install the O/S and recover all of my data.

Not fun when you're crunched for time, as everyone in I.T. seems to be these
days.
