"Error while archiving" with no further info

After setting up Outlook on a new computer with my existing .PST file, see
the message:

"Error while archiving folder 'Inbox' in store 'Personal Folders.'

Although many KB articles show a second sentence that explains the cause of
this error, the above is all that I see.

1. I have "repaired" the PST file several times now. Everything else works
fine.
2. I see the "Archiving..." message flash by several times before it stops
on the Inbox. It appears to be archiving some folders but not others.
3. My PST is admittedly at bit large at 937 MB. Have I exceeded a file size
limit? Or a limit on messages or folders in and under my Inbox? I could
shrink the size if only Autoarchive would work!

Thank you very much for your input!

Have you used scanpst.exe on your archive file as well? What is the size of
your archive file?

The archive.pst reports no errors. Also, I've confirmed that I can archive
all folders in my PST *individually*, including all the subfolders of the
Inbox...but I still get the same error if I try to archive the Inbox itself.
Is there a limit on nested folders or number of messages in
folders/subfolders? It seems to fail before it even begins.

Thank you!
