Error when using IE6.0- http://ehttp.cc/?

Lance

I'm having difficulty open certain web pages, mostly
search engines.

For example, when I type www.google.com into my browser
address window it changes to....

http://ehttp.cc/?www.google.com

....and the The Page Cannot Be Displayed message appears.

Has anyone seen this before? Any insight on how I might
repair it.

Thanks,

Lance

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/cwshredder.zip
**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

The reply is not what helps you but this past week encountered a similar
problem in my line of work, after more than 8 hours of troubleshooting,
everything except redoing Windows, we had to give up and redo the whole
computer, it solved the Browser problem but at what cost (as always with
Windows glitches).
Re-installing the Network connections did nothing for the problem, email was
OK, no websites, go figure, still do not know the cause.
