Error when connecting to server using a CNAME alias

Steve

I'm getting the 'Error 52 Duplicate Name Exists' message
when trying to connect to a server using a CNAME alias
(i.e. \\intranet). The server I am trying to connect to is
running Windows 2000 SP3 and is also the DNS server. I've
added the DisableStrictNameChecking registry entry to
LanManServer\Parameters but still get this error. Does
anyone know how I can get around this problem? Thanks

Thanks, Ace.

I've already looked at this article but it hasn't helped.
Any other ideas?
