After closing a non-responding program, the error reporting box opens - when
I click yes to send a report it tells me that I'm not connected to the
internet when I am. so I click to try again, and the error box disappears
without preparing a report. Anyone have any ideas?

1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2... You need to be sure your system is clean from malwares and Viruses by
scanning for them.

For spywares download these software and update their definitions and run a
scan:

3... You may have a bad RAM try to test your RAM by running Memtest by
downloading this tool and unzip it and make a floppy or CD/DVD and run it on
Reboot.
http://www.memtest.org/
You may need to reposition/reset the RAM sticks in their slots.

Open the Event viewer and see if there are Error messages (X) try to open
them by double click the error message to get more Info about the culprit
causing this error, you can copy and paste in your ext post the exact wording.
To do that follow these steps:
- Open a run command and type in:
- eventvwr click [OK] or Hit [Enter..] On your keyboard.
- On the Event viewer click on each of the folders named:
- Application, System, Security in the left side of the window
- Look in the right Pane/Window for the Log file/report

Please perform step (1,2) together and then Reboot your computer and see if
the Error will appear or will go away, if it came back then proceed with step
(3).
HTH.
Let us know.
Regards,
nass
