Error on conditional formatting formula

I cannot enter this formula to conditional formatting window:
=AND(H3=1,I3=0)

But I can enter it like ="AND(H3=1,I3=0)"

with second way, excel does nothnig:(
but if I enter something like =H3=1 it works perfectly.

can anyone help me?

You may find that you get a wider response from the .excel.worksheetfunction
newsgroup, since you are essentially working with a formula.

I tested your formula in the conditional formatting window (formula is) in
Excel 2003, and it worked as expected.
=AND(H3=1,I3=0)

If you do follow up this post to the worksheetfunction newsgroup, please
include your version of Excel, what you have in H3 and I3- are these
hand-entered values or formulas? How are the cells formatted- is it possible
that you have a calculated value of (for example, .001) showing as 0 or 1 in
the cells?

Also if you are getting any result other than what you expected (other than
no effect at all), that would be useful to include.
