Error on closing IE

Everytime I close my IE6 browser, I get an application
error message. Here are the details:

Application popup: iexplore.exe - Application Error : The
instruction at "0x01723768" referenced memory
at "0x01723768". The memory could not be "read".

'Event viewer' provides a link to Microsoft with a
solution, which lead me to reinstalling XP. This did not
clear up the issue.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
