Error on closedown - any thoughts?

G

George Weston

I'm starting to get the following error message on closing down Windows XP
Home:
"End Program ##4000"

Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks,

George

there are a number of
processes that occurs
with each startup and
shut down.

one of the easiest methods
to use for an issue like this
is to compare the performance
between normal mode and
safe mode and safe mode
with networking.

safe mode with networking
permits connectivity with
the internet.

if that error doesn't show
up in safe mode, then you
are half way to finding the
problem.
