error messages after copying reports for making new reports

Giel Overhof

I have a database access 2000 based.
I copied a report in the database and gave it an other
name after that procedure I was no longer able to open
the database (forms, reports etc) I removed the new
report but I still got the same problems I tried to
decompile the database at that moment I got the message
that the (deleted report) was not found and that the
decompiling procedure was aborted.
I am sure the problem is in the copying the report act.
Can anybody give me a suggestion how I can solve the
problem.

This is definitely a corruption problem, probably in a system table. To
solve it, create a new empty database and import all the objects from the
first one except for the report in question. Compile the new database, then
try to import the report. If it imports OK you should be fine after
compacting and recompiling. If not, you'll need to re-create the report.
