My computer came with mcafee, which I uninstalled. After that, when I try to
open outlook, I get the following message:
Unable to load or install the suplement
"c:\progra~1\mcafee.com\vso\outscan.dll"
What can I do?

Does Outlook open? If so, click Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options. In
either the COM Add-Ins or Add-In Manager you should find a reference to the
McAfee tool. Remove it. If Outlook won't open, then you'll need to edit
the registry, concentrating on the keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xxx\Outlook\Addins,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins, and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins. One or more of
those keys should reference that DLL. You can delete the specific key(s)
containing that name.
