I am trying to use Frontpage 2002 with service pack 2. It
will open a locally stored site (ie on the hard disk).
But when ever I try to open my hosted site I get an error
message "Server error: Error 2 opening registry
key "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server
Extensions\Ports\Port 80"". I have tried uninstalling and
re-installing no change. I have ensured that my host has
correctly applied the server extensions. I have searched
the Microsoft Support site extensively but no help. Any
one got any ideas.

Are you by any chance running Yahoo IM?
If so, shut it down as it claims / uses port 80
for it's P2P file sharing feature.
