Error message when pubishing

Does anyone know what this error message means:

servererror: 'listed_company/_overlay/notes7.htm_nav_baker-
tilly-theme-red010.hbtn.gif' does not refer to a page or
folder in this web. it may be a page or folder in a
subweb, or it could be a badly formed URL.

The web in question is a subweb and doesn't have a theme
applied (the parent web does). When searching for this
file it doesn't exist. If created it still doesn't work.

When deleting the destination web and then publishing it
works fine but not if you want to overwrite files.

Please Help.

Open the subweb, then Tools | Web Settings | Advanced tab and enable viewing
of hidden directories.
