Error Message when booting up.

I have a Toshiba 5200 laptop. Increasingly, I get the blue screen when
booting up with this message: A problem has been detected and Windows has
been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
It goes on to say if this is the first time you've seen this stop error
screen, restart your computer, if not follow these steps.
Check for adequate disk space (yes). If driver is identified, disable or
check for update (don't know how). Try changing video adapters. Check for
BIOS updates. (did this)
Technical information: STOP: 0x0000008E,0xC0000002,0x8054627A,0xF110D5E0,
0x00000000. Then it dumps the physical memory. Please help!

When I view the event viewer logs, I get codes like 100000d1 or 0x0... ETC.
Is there a database or some other reference on how to interpret these codes?
thanks.
