I recently formatted my laptop and reinstalled my winxp with the
required service pack and other critical updates in an attempt to make
my computer cleaner and faster. But then this is where my nightmare
began - whenever i run a lot of programs, the laptop just blue-screens
and restarts itself. I sent the error report to microsoft and it says
it is probably caused by CPU failure.
The following are the error codes - Error Message: STOP: 0x0000009C
(0x00000004, 0x00000000, 0xb2000000, 0x00020151)
I have searched through the internet and I found that a lot of people
are getting the same problem. The only solution I got so far is to
visit this website
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329284
Of course this does not really help.
I have checked my memory using mem86 tools. I also checked the power
supply and temperature and they all look fine.
The thing is what I did was just formatted my laptop and resinstall
winxp and the required service pack and critical updates. Before I did
all these, my machine did not get this exception at all!
Any genius can help here?

Hello, Tony. I'm certainly not a genius, but did you install all the
proper device drivers for your laptop from the mftr.'s website? It
sounds very much like you don't have the motherboard drivers (and
others) installed.
