error message setting up outlook, 'an object could not be found'

I'm setting up outlook to be my primary email and am getting the message
'sending reported error (0x8004010f) the operation failed "an object could
not be found" when trying to send an email. What does this mean and how can I
fix it? Thanks.

most of the time creating a new profile solve this error!

Thanks...I tried that but ended up having to remove and then re-install Outlook...then got other errors so I changed some of the settings...now I'm up and running. Thanks again.
