error message received when tryting to navigate to msn.com;hotmail

On one of our PC's we get an "Invalid syntax error" whenever anyone tries to
surf to a webmail site or a search engine site. I've tried everything but
re-formatting the hard drive and IE still refuses to go to these sites.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Yo,

It might be the consqequence of a recent update if user data are included
inside the URL (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/834489). I
suggets you read the article and talk to the responsable of the webmail
program.
