Error Message In Outlook 2003 When Sending E-Mail

Anytime I try to send an e-mail message to multiple recipients using MS
Outlook 2003, I get the following error message:

Task 'mail.bellsouth.net - Sending' reported error (0x80070057) : 'Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.'

Sending e-mail to one recipeint at a time works fine. When sending to
multiple recipients (whether in the To:, CC: or BCC: fields) results in the
error and the e-mail sits in my Outbox for all eternity.

I have tried separating my e-mail addresses using a comma rather than the
default semi-colon, but that hasn't had any effect.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003 Professional, to no avail. I'm
running Windows XP SP2 and have made sure all updates for both Windows and
Office have been downloaded and installed.

My machine is a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 with 1GB of RAM and 160 GB of hard drive
space (130 GB free), so it's not a hardware issue.

Any help is very greatly appreciated.

try first torun scanpst.exe on your PST file.
try a new Outlook profile. You'll need to copy data over to it but first
check there are no issues. It could be a damaged entry.

To create a new profile: 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click
Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Mail icon.
3. In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles.

If you want to be able to select a specific profile each time you
start Outlook, click the General tab, click Prompt for a profile to be used,
and then click Add.
4. In the New Profile dialog box, under Profile Name, type a
descriptive name for the new profile, and then click OK.
5. In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, select Add a new e-mail account
in the e-mail options, and then click Next.
6. Click the type of server that your e-mail account works with, and
then click Next.
7. Complete all of the required fields, including those that are on
the tabs that appear after you click More Settings.
8. When you finish providing the required information, click Finish.
