Error Message 'F:\ setup.exe is not a valid win32 application'

I have recently installed a LITE ON DVDRW SHM 16P65 and for the most part it
works well, except that when I atempt to load software from a DVD ROM I the
get the error message F:\setup.exe is not a valid win32 application. I have
downloaded the latest firmware from Lite on. It will load software from a CD
rom and play DVD's, CD's and even burn CD's (I haven't tried to burn a DVD
yet)etc. It is connected as the slave.
Any suggestions?

If this is the only application that is not executing, then there is
something wrong with the DVD ROM. If this is a pressed DVD ROM, then
test it in a different computer. If this is a burned DVD ROM, it still
might be flawed, even coming from a commercial outlet. Report back after
some more testing has been done.

I have tried 3 different DVD ROM's, all three work fine in my other
computer, but none will load in the problem computer.

Bad DVD player. Replace it.
