Hi-
I'm a home user doing the Microsoft Office Online Access 2007 Training
Courses. I often get the following error code when I try to move between
database cells (using the Tab or Enter keys or using the mouse to move the
cursor) after entering information:

error message 3020 "Update or CancelUpdate Without Addnew or Edit"

I have to exit and then re-enter the database to make it go away. I have no
idea what that message is telling me to do or what, if anything, I'm doing
differently those times that I get the error message as opposed to the times
that I don't.

I'd very much appreciate any helpful information or suggestions, thanks.

there are lots of pages on this and different fixes depending on unbound,
bound, combo, textbox, ole, etc,etc

I googled it as well as searching the Microsoft knowledge base and
discussion groups. The problem is that everything I find is for people
writing code, or at least speaking that language, which is way over my head.
I need non-code writer answers and solutions.

Yes thats just how access is. It is sold as a stand alone package in office
that "anyone" can make thier own databases. This is true but only in the
most basic applications. To use (create and design) access you really do
need to know just a little about vba or you will end up at a situation where
you just can not continue.

Can I suggest you re-post an question with as much details as possible and
someone should answer - sorry no time at the moment.
