error help!

My computer is shutting down and rebooting over and over!
it gives me the message system shutdown initiated by NT
authority remote procedure protocol terminated
unexpectedly.
I reformated and reinstalled windows and it still does
it? please help!

I have been told that Microsoft released an auto update
yesterday morning that is having such an effect on only
Windows XP users. I have not been able to get in touch
with Microsoft Support to find out when and how they will
address this problem. Please let me know if you hear
anything else as I am in the same boat as you.

The patch was released on 16th July. It has been available for download and
installation for nearly a month and came through on the AutoUpdates should
you have that feature enabled on or about the same day.
