Error during windows vista install!

When trying to install vista i get an error message which says something
along the lines of "Setup Cannot prepare the computer for restart. Please
restart the installer and try again." When i try to do a clean install on a
seperate hard drive from inside windows xp, i get the same error. So i booted
from the cd and tried to install it, and it sucessfully moved the files to
the hard drive, extracted them, and made it to the final phase of
installation, and it could not prepare the computer for restart. PLEASE
HELP!, Thanks in advance.
