If it aint broke dont fix it.
What drivers were you using previously, and why did you upgrade?
Did you uninstall everything ATI before upgrading?

Newer is not always better. you have an older card, and probably an older
system.
You also installed the incredibly useless ATI control centre.
I'd get the driver set WITHOUT the ATI CCC.

Updated as my vid capture was not functioning. (BTW it is working properly
after the upgrade and I see no obvious problems other than the persistent
error dialogues.).)

Tried the catalist control center version first with the same problem.

Initially installed over the existing drivers. Buth have since run ATI's
uninstall and then reinstalled the new drivers.

I have not yet uninstalled and hacked at my registry ... would rathar find a
easier fix.

wxp-w2k-ccc-8-062-040929a-018115c was the previous version and 7.?? on MMC

he said ditch the control center drivers and install the plain control panel
ones instead (the 23 one set)
(I agree, unless you have to use them for some reason, i pity you if you do)
