Error Code 800CCC18

I am able to send and receive messages but still get this error message.

Account: 'mail.switchgearservices.co.uk', Server:
'mail.switchgearservices.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '.', Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."

If that was already unchecked, which antivirus are you running? Some
of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time.
