Error Code -1404

My database suddenly stopped allowing me to run some Pivot Tables from
Excel. I then tried to run the query the Pivot Table is based on and found
that the query freezes while running. I then attempted to run "Compact and
Repair" and Access crashes each time after beginning the process.
I noticed a new table that Access has created named "MSysCompactError" with
the following fields:
ErrorCode: -1404
ErrorDescription: Could not find field 'Description'.
ErrorRecid:
ErrorTable: Combined

I do have a table "Combined", but it does not contain a field named
'Description'. I have no idea how to fix this problem. My last Compact and
Repair was 4 days ago and everything worked correctly.

I guess I'm also clueless about what versions of Access and Excel I use.
