Error Code: 0x8024401B

According to my understanding, this error code is given because Windows
Defender doesn't allow the download of Windows updates through a proxy. Note
the updates are for Windows and Outlook.

I only had Defender installed briefly and removed it 2 weeks ago. Also, 2
of the 8 critical updates have downloaded and installed successfully. So,
there doesn't appear to be any issue with the interoperability on my LAN,
proxy server, or with its Admin policies.

how do i fix this issue? Something from Defender must still reside on my PC
and is preventing Update from working properly. Note updates worked fine
before installing Defender.

Hello Rainer,

Try remove all temporarily junk with CCleaner and/or HDCleaner for a more
thorough cleaning, running in safe mºde.

Ccleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com
http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp

Note, When you install Ccleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option.
Note, in Options, Advanced, uncheck - Only delete files in Windows folders
older than 48 hours.
Note: uncheck Windows Defender in the applications.
Do a scan with all the check marks on.
Open Ccleaner and press "Windows" "Aplications" and Run Cleaner from the
menu choose 'Issues' and then press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.
Run twice Ccleaner, the same as above.
