error access denied

When a user (my kids) log on they get an error message saying access denied.
There is no information what this is about - How do I fix this?
 
HI can you explain a bit more of whats happening , how many account are on
the pc etc ,
 
I have also had a new hard disk - so I have had to reinstall all of my
previous software

I did not check when it happened during the variuos software installations -
Yes I am the administrator - If I change all of the users to Administrators
then the problem goes away
 
Very bad idea.
it's a permissions issue, but with the little details you've given, no
solution can be advised.
What file does the error refer to, and what is happening to display the error.
I suggest you change the other users to less than admin.
 
HI , when was the last time it all worked ok , and then what u have done
since, do you use guest accounts with your family .
