Error 7000 with nVidea a/v

Hello, I am getting this error EVERY time I boot my XP Pro Desktop. I do use
nVidia Ge Force 5200 with my KDS LCD Model Rad-7c, but I do not have nVidia
WDM A/V Crossbar service or nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal) service
installed. Maybe I should?, lol.

I don't believe there are any system problems resulting from these errors,
but I DO like seeing a clean board in my Event viewer. I also want to first
say 'Thank You' for running this board; as a result of reading and learning
from it, I have progressed from being a system destroyer to almost competent.
I've managed to figure a lot of things out on my own now, without needing
make a bunch of posts.

What Error and or Warning Reports occur before these two messages?

Are you getting Stop Error messages as well?

I suggest you Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should
help by allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Right click
on the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties, Advanced,
StartUp and Recovery, System Failure and uncheck box before
Automatically Restart.

Enable automatic restart on system failure after you have captured /
copied and pasted the message in a further post here.

Hope this helps.

It looks like you've installed some TV tuner or perhaps another capture
device on your system. If you should have nothing of the sort, you may
want to go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the
appropriate component.

Hello Gerry, I did check for messages BEFORE the evnet per your suggestion.
I was having an issue that turned out to be unrelated to the 7000 errors.
These two errors return every time I boot still. There is another post
here which recommends to remove some TV tuner hardware. I also tried that,
but I cannot locate any such hardware... So, I am back where I was. I am NOT
geting STOP errors or crashing from these errors.

Hello bxf, This seems like a logical thing to do, and I have tried... I
uninstalled something called Nvidia GART Driver (whatever this is) but I
cannot locate any other TV tuner type devices.... I guess I should continue
looking for capture devices.. Any suggestion on what a capture device might
be, other than a TV card? Thanks.. Brian

You may wish to find out where the Start instructions are coming from:

Most likely is the Registry.

Nvidia GART MAY be a component of your graphics (video) software. I'm
not sure removing it was a good idea. Still, if you have no new
problems then perhaps it was redundant.

A capture device would be "any" external device from which one would
import a video, e.g. a video camera. The thing is, from my own
experience I associate the term CROSSBAR with a TV tuner, but that
doesn't mean that other types of capture devices don't have a CROSSBAR
- I just don't happen to know much about this.

If there is nothing else relevant showing in ADD/REMOVE programs, have
a look in Device Manager. I'm on an Italian Win2K system now so I can't
confirm precise wording, but I think the category you want to look at
is SOUNDS,... There may be another category where capture devices may
be present, I'm not sure. Have a look at a few categories (NOT
DISPLAY/MONITORS/VIDEO or SYSTEM devices) and see if you can spot a
reference to an NVIDIA something or other that you cannot associate
with your graphics system. If you see one then you may want to
uninstall it. However, if you don't know what it is, it would be much
better to try to identify it before removing it. Otherwise, unless you
how to recover from a screwed up graphics driver situation, you want to
be careful!!!
