Error 2908 after uninstall of .net framework

I

Hi, I found the .net framework program had been installed automatically
via my Windows XP updates, and since I am not a developer and don't
need this environment, I used the 'add/remove' utility to uninstall
it. The uninstall completed without problems, however, the next day
when I turned on my PC I immediately saw a window titled 'Copy' with
the message 'please wait till Windows configures copy'. A few seconds
after, another window popped up with error 2908 and a serial number.
Trying to cancel brought up more errors 2908 with different serial
numbers. I can't seem to get rid of this error, the only way is to
use the Task Manager and kill the copy program.

I tried to research this and found that if I removed dll files from the
system32/URTTemp files it would go away, but it did not. Could
someone tell me how I can get rid of this error? Thanks in advance
