error 1719 in directory services

How can I fix this error??
The Directory Service was unable to find any RPC protocol
sequences installed on this computer, failing with error
1719.
My workstations can see the server on the network but I
cant open the server to access some of the folders I need
to get to.
I think this error my be someof the problem.

This morning and earlier all was fine but all of the
sudden no one can access the server. We get an error
message from the pc saying that its unaccessable and or I
dont have permission but thats just the generic error when
a device is unreachable.

Please help!!
