Personally I think an update or something was sent out that would have
caused
this to happen just so new versions get sold.
Now who is making assumptions here? There is no such thing as it would be
illegal.
Even so, persons who have a valid license also have a disk set or another
installation source so when the update is requesting the original
installation source, you can provide it. I don't see how this can be some
sort of scheme to sell more new licenses.
You have no idea that the company I was with allowed me to keep this
version. So there was no reason for you to imply other wise.
I'm not assuming anything; Corporate licenses are not transferrable to
individuals. Only in the very unlikely event that your company only had
Retail licenses it could have been transferred under some conditions. You
should also have all the license information then and the additional disk
set. If not; request it from your company. If you only have the Retail
license information and cannot contact the company anymore for the disk set,
you can contact Microsoft for a replacement disk set. If you don't have the
license information, your are not running a licensed version of Office.
I there anyone else that answers post that would be more willing to work
with me I don't think you have been very helpfull, and are assuming things
I
do not appreciate.
As I said; I'm not assuming anything here. I have been helpful by stating
facts but I cannot help it that you don't like the answer you got.
