Error 1606 MS Office Home & Student

I've tried every suggestion that MS has in their FAQs all to no avail. When
I try to install MS Office H&S 2007 I get the following message (exactly as
shown):

Error 1606. Could not access network location:.

Can't fins any real people to talk to at MS. This is a brand new program
and they should support it without charging.

1.You won't reach Microsoft support in these peer-to-peer discussion groups,
but you *will* find help if you post in a group applicable to your question.
You need a group for Office topics. Here's how to find one.

As you appear to be using a web interface, start here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Office
and Desktop Applications.
In Office and Desktop Applications, locate the Office category, then post
in Office Setup.

2. Yes, you are entitled to free technical support on installation issues.

Thanks,
I'm new here, and although this didn't directly help my problem, it got me
on the right path. See if the other group as well as MS can helt.

To all,
I'm using Win XP SP3, however I have solved the problem. After trying
every thing I could think of or found on the internet, I found a program
called "Perfect Uninstaller" which took out every vestige of the old program
that I or it's uninstaller didn't from everywhere in my computer and
registry. After that the program installed perfectly.
Thanks,
Rick
