Error 1335

I've been having the same problem for a while now. When
ever i goto install any game i get the same error. Error
1335 File corupt blah blah blah. Now i know the disks are
not dirty because i have copied the contents to my hard
drive and tried to install from there and no luck. Also i
have disabled everything/done a clean boot/tried with
just cd-rom attached and nothing works. Any help would be
much appreciated as this is very annoying not being able
to play games. Thankyou in advance

The *exact* error message may help. Any chance that you can post it here? Someone then may be able to help you.

Ok the exact message i get is the following:

ERROR 1335. The cabinat file 'DATA1.cab' required for
this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This
could indicate a network error, an error reading from the
CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

But as i said it installs fine on other PC's as does the
other games. All execpt mine. I have tried different CD-
ROMS but still no luck :-(
