Gentlemen,
I keep getting this error message 0x800CCC32 in a random mode and with
diverse reasons, such as "Not Authorized", "Verify user and password", "Bad
password",
"Incorrect user or password" etc.
This happened usually randomly, in regard to 5 MSN and 3 Legacy Hotmail
accounts I have, when downloading the messages. Most times it does not
occur. Yet and in spite of the error, the messages download anyway.
I have implemented placing msn.com and hotmail.com into the Privacy tab of
the Internet Properties as recommended by a KB article, to "Allow cookies".
It continues to occur....
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Task 'XXXXX MSN: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCC32) : 'Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username
and password are correct. The server responded 'Authorization Required'. '

As you see above, secure password authentication did not solve the problem.
I will read all the references you gave me. Regardless, most grateful for
your assistance.
Cheers

Hi!
Thanks again for your assistance.
The links you provided, some have been removed or updated. Like 264672 and
259416, into 290684. This is just for your info.
Unfortunately they all talk about using regedt32.exe, which I have not seen
ever in XP, even considering there is such file present in System32. When
you open it, you just get regedt.exe and the instructions are not
applicable. Some how they did this also in W2K-SP3 or 4
I have tried to discuss this and a few others little problems with MS Office
support, but since my Office-Pro 2003 was a Microsoft gift at a meeting,
which they recognize by the product number, they want to get pay so much per
issue.
Most grateful, cheers

Sorry, I should have said that Password Autentication was not cheked.
Activating it and reopening the program made no diference. Again unchecking
made no diference.

This is what I get:

Task 'RxxxMSN: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0xC00CE553) : 'The server responded 'The following tags were not closed:
D:multistatus, D:response, D:propstat.
'. '
Task 'NxxxMSN: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCC32) : 'Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username
and password are correct. The server responded 'Bad Password'. '
Task 'LxxxMSN: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCC32) : 'Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username
and password are correct. The server responded 'Bad Password'. '
