yip windows fire wall and norton aswell i think if thats possable to

sorry Kathleen , firstly thanks for the help second you are dealing
wih a novice how do i do that(allow outlook exe) its been weeks now
and still can not get mail a thing about AVG comes up iv just
installed it as my virus protec as my norton had ran out so im sure
its got to do with that but i dont want to uninstall it and leave
myself open to virus attack. the exact msg is:
your pop3 server has not responded in 60 seconds
would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond

What message about AVG comes up? The message could be important, please post
the exact message. Also, how often did you tell Outlook to poll your mail
server for mail? It could be timing out because it's polling too often.
As for Norton, if you're running the Windows Firewall and AVG for antivirus,
you can uninstall Norton.
