error(0x80040900) apears when i try to use outlook express...why?

trying to reply to adds by e-mail the outlook express e-mail box drops down
and when i use it I get ...error(0x80040900) that my e-mail add is incorect.
it's .....sbcglobal.net.....and has been for years. and works on everything
but "outlook express" why?

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
