Hi,

I also had this error and tried all the "recommended" solutions, such as
creating a new profile (didn't seem right, but whatever...), repairing the
PST file, closing archive files, etc. Nothing worked.

Finally I found that this error can be caused by a read receipt in the
Outbox that won't send for some reason. Here is the page that describes the
solution (posted by some wonderful person on officekb.com:
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/delete_rr.htm. I did exactly as
recommended, and IT WORKED!!!!!!

The invisible and totally undetectable read receipt that was causing the
problem was from like 10 years ago (no joke) and must've been lurking in one
of my archived folders forever, because none of that mail exists anymore. I
have no idea why it suddenly appeared, but given the number of people who
have this annoying error, it must happen a lot to Outlook users.

I guess I should've known there was a problem with the Outbox, because
whenever messages were sent, the number X in "Sending 1 of X" was always one
higher than the number of messages that were actually in the Outbox.....

Anyway, give the process on that page a try. It worked for me, so I hope it
will work for you. :)

Best regards,
Krista
