Erratic Mouse

I have Logitech wireless mouse that I've had since December and used with no
issues.. However, in the last 2 weeks, it has started moving erratically
sometimes, and it often jumps down to the start button while you're in the
middle of something..I've heard of Erratic behavior in wireless mice
(mouses?) just being one of thier properties , but the fact that it always
jumps to the same place puzzles me. I've checked the properties in the
mouses software, Ive checked in Windows prperties as well. Ive uninstalled
the driver and reinstalled it, and that seemed to help for a few days.. Ive
looked in the Device Manager to make sure no conflicts.. I'm stumped and
would appreciate any suggestions...

Did you try replacing the batteries? If not, do so.

I believe there is an option, within logitec drivers/software, to have a
curser jump to start btn

It might just be your optical sensor - I have this cheap optical mouse and
it sometimes jumps or moves in the opposite direction.

But check the Logitech software and manual thoroughly
