I want to include an equation in PPT. I can do that with the equation writer
included in PPT or by a copy/paste from WORD.

It works fine, but the equation is written in black. If the background of
the slide is dark, the equation is barely visible. I found no way of
changing the color of the characters. This function seems to exist neither
in PPT nor in WORD.

Does anyone have a way of changing that color ?

You could create a simple white rectangle and place it behind the equation.
The Equation Editor has always been sort of a "left behind" feature of
Office that never has really been enhanced. However, there is a program out
there that expands on its capabilities (Math Type).

Yes ...

Rightclick the equation and choose Format Object from the popup menu.

On the Picture tab, click Recolor.

Put a checkmark next to the colors you want to change and then choose the new
color you want. Click OK when done.

Select the equation and then click the "recolor" button on the Picture
toolbar.
