Equation Editor v MathType

Can anyone comment on MathType vs Equation Editor 3?

I am writing a document with some moderately complex equations.
Equation Editor is not as easy to use as I would like, but it's not
that bad. Will MathType make my life $130 better? ;-)

Thanks

PS: Is there a better ng for this question?

There are others that monitor this ng who undoubtedly will
respond to your post, but I wanted to make a few points:

1. MathType is easier to use than Equation Editor because it's
incredibly faster, and allows you to customize the toolbar with
common formulas & equations, as well as create your own
keystrokes. (It's faster because it stays in memory after you
close the MT window. EE must load into memory for each equation
you create.)

2. MT is easier to use than EE because it comes with a full user
manual that includes 18 tutorials, covering a wide range of uses
and experience levels. (Downloaded versions come with the exact
same manual as a PDF.)

3. A complete feature comparison chart is available on our web
site at
http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/mt_vs_ee.htm

4. There have been several reviews written, but the most recent
of which I'm aware was for a British journal, "MSOR Connections".
The review's available in PDF form at
http://mathstore.ac.uk/newsletter/may2004/pdf/mathtype.pdf

I'll be glad to answer any other questions you have about MT or
EE, either on the newsgroup or privately.

This one was fine.
