Equal character in control text

Hello,
I'd like an equal character (=) within some text in a control. Is there an
escape character to allow me to do this?

Thanks,
Ellen

EllenM,
If a text control is bound to a text table field, or is unbound, you can
use
the textual "=" sign, as you want... in any string of text and/or numbers.
A bound numeric control can only accept numbers... no text
or "=" signs.

Hi Al,
Is it possible to have an equals sign within a sentence in an unbound control?

Ellen,
Please don't delete any previous posts in the thread. We need
to see the flow of the problem...

As I wrote in my first response...use the textual "=" sign, as you want... in any string of text and/or
numbers.

Hi Al,
Is it possible to have an equals sign within a sentence in an unbound control?

Instead of asking a general a question, why don't you ask your
specific question with an example. I suspect those of us who would
like to help you are each reading your question a bit differently.

As the control source of an unbound control:
="My text = some text."
will display in the control as
My text = some text.

If that is not what you are looking for, then please give us an
example of what you want.
