{EQ \a} field limitations

Is there any limitation for the number of items of {EQ \a} field ?
I want to write a 9x7 items matrix but it seems that I can list only about
38 items; after that, the field code change to error.

Thanx,

Possibly there is a limit to the total number of characters in a field code
(if so, it would probably be 255), which could account for the problem, but
I don't see any such limit listed in "Operating parameter limitations and
specifications in Word" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211489.

I topped out at 39 elements using EQ \a.

Crios, you might want to try the equation editor, instead. I was easily able
to create a 9 x 7 matrix (didn't test to see the upper limit). Insert a
basic matrix, then choose Format - Matrix from the equation editor's menu,
and plug in the numbers of columns and rows; then populate the "cells" as
needed.

Or, for more flexibility, you can use a Word table, instead, if you're
creative about spacing and the use of borders.
