Epson really does suck...but I have a question.

Hi, I'm brand new to this NG, my stupid new Epson CX3200 drove me to
try and find a solution anywhere I could. So I'm sure you guys get
this problem all the time but...

I've used Epson for years now, I thought the printers were absolutely
great. I love the diagnostics. I used to have a Stylus 740. I had it
for about 6 years, it died in the fall. I went out and bought a CX3200
and didn't think of buying anything other than an Epson. I learned
with the last printer (740) that it lies and says that it's out of ink
when it's not. No problem, they all do. I used to just take out the
cartridge and put the same one back in, and keep going. With this new
one you can't do that. It has these ingenious ink cartridges chips, I
bet if I refilled it, it would still say low, damn technology. So, I'm
stuck - with a project due in my Operations Management class tomorrow,
and a shutdown printer that's doing nothing for me except put my
health in a potentially harmful position due to my dramatic increase
in blood pressure. Aside from buying a brand new cartridge (Boo!), do
you guys have any suggestions?

Piff :)
