Epson cart changing

P

pgx

I have an Epson Stylus Color 640. The last time I changed black ink,
the new cartridge would not print even after several cleaning cycles.
When I try to remove this cart to try another, the printer will not
come to rest with the carts exposed - the head moves back and forth
several times. appears to go thru cleaning cycles, and finally comes
to rest back out of reach.

Any thoughts as to the problem?

When you see the head moving pull the plug out of the outlet. Move the print
head where the cartridge is accesible.
Change the cartridge, and plug it back into the wall. It should recover.

If you still have been unable to resolve this problem, please send me an
email requesting the Epson Cleaning Manual. It is free and it explains
how to resolve this and other similar issues on these older Epson printers.

Mention the printer type in your email. You will not be spammed or
otherwise solicited. I have nothing to sell. All the solutions come
from your kitchen cabinets in terms of materials required.
