Epson C84 & C86 - What's the difference?

Rus

Sorry if this has been asked before. Looking at the Epson web site specs, I can't find a difference between the C84 and the C86 other than the C86 has appeared more recently.

Anybody know of a reason to pick one over the other?

Seems like both use DuraBrite pigmented ink (same cartridges). Seems like both print at same speeds.

All I find at local brick and mortar stores is the C86. C84 is available on the web.

Thank you.

I think someone posted about it already, but basically the C86 has some
additional software bundled with the printer but comes with the standard
capacity black cartridge - whereas the C84 comes with the high capacity
black cartridge. IMO, go for the C84.

I have the C84 works great
If I understand it correctly, the c86 is not as much a graphic printer.
( sorry if I'm wrong)

I'll say one thing. If a page is all black text, this C86 smacks it out in a hurry ... even at the "fine" setting.
