Envelope/Importance icons disappeared under Fields in Inbox column

The little envelope and exclamation icons that show the importance of a
messages and whether the message has been read or not have disappeared under
the Icon Field of the Inbox columns. The columns are still there, but no
icons beside messages. How do I get them back?

Tried resetting the view on the folder already?
View-> Arrange By-> Customize-> Reset Current View
