Entry Point Not Found- Acess denied

Entry Point Not Found- scesrv.dll
I found this link:

Followed the procedure exactly swapping scesrv.dll for msvcrt.dll, renamed
scesrv.dll to --.old
successfully, but upon trying to expand scesrv.dll off the xp cd I get
access denied.
Any help would be greatly appreciated- My son's computer with term paper on
it due This Tuesday.

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW
