Enterprise (Corporate) edition of MSAS...

Jim

Just wondering if there will be a centralized version of
the MSAS program for corporate use, something with an
admin console, remote deployment, and reporting features
like the other major AntiSpyware players.

I know WSUS has its faults, but I hope the MSAS will have
some kind tiered functionality for enterprise networks.
Don't need to have a few hundred PCs autoupdating from MS
when an internal server can hold/serve out the signature
files.

Any news on this type of functionality would be helpful,
corporate is looking to purchase AS software in the near
future...I thought I could save some $$ by using MSAS.

Thanks, Jim

Yes there will be, but not much is known.

In addition to its free consumer product, Microsoft will offer a for-pay
anti-spyware product for corporate users that will support enterprise needs
for management and deployment, said Amy Roberts, a director in Microsoft's
Security Business and Technology Unit. Roberts would not say when the
enterprise anti-spyware product will be available.

Hi Jim,
Some day that will happen. A time frame hasn't been made available yet.

As was posted elsewhere, one shouldn't run this on a production machine. It
is neither designed nor intended at this time for an Enterprise deployment,
or for deployment in an Enterprise.

Additional info on what may happen in an Enterprise situation can be found
