Enter Password reappears!

The Enter Network Password box keeps asking for my
password everytime I send and receive mail. I am having
no problem retrieving my mail or send mail, but it is
very annoying to have this pop up all the time.
The "Save this password in you password list" doesn't see
to work.

I just recently installed MS Office 2003 including
Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP platform (with service pack
two.)

I have tried "Save password setting not retained in
Outlook" from the Knowledge Base Article - 290684, but it
doesn't help. It suggest that I use regedit32, which is
not available in my Windows XP system Any sugestions? I
tried using regedit.exe but the problem still comes up
again and again.

REGEDIT or REGEDT32 both work.. EDT32 has a key permission option, but no
difference for your needs.

I found in Win98 that if you do not have a Windows Logon password then you
cannot save Email logon passwords. I guess this is the MS Client security
default.

hmm XP you say.. which version SP2?
